Formalwear Alterations
I'm the seamstress you come to with your creative and wild ideas. Standard alterations are welcome, but I love a project. Creating a custom bolero, adding length to a dress with a ruffle or just creating something new and special for YOU- that's what I LIVE for.
Upcycled Treasures
I HATE waste. As a costumer I generate a lot of scraps, get a bunch of fabric donations, and just in general have a lot of random stuff. So I started taking polyester tablecloths with fun prints and turning them into one size fits most skirts, pictured above. The hem trim and waist band are made of upcylced materials or deadstock ribbons and trims. Sometimes they are the scraps off of a bridesmaid hem, other times it's the vintage lace I found and hand dyed a fun new color to give it a new life. The only part I cut away on these skirts is the center, which I turn into scrappy pumpkins, and they are filled with the tiniest scraps of fabric that can't be used for much else. I also enjoy doing reverse applique on thrifted sweatshirts with deadstock fabric or my own custom fabrics. Simple Fixes & Other Services
I hate waste. So before you throw out that clothing item that's been damaged or broken for years, come to me and let's give it a new life. The skirt pictured above had an elastic waist band that had completely disintigrated. I took it apart, removed all the elastic and put in this invisible zipper. Simple, but effective! Let's bring your wardrobe back to life!
Rates & Pricing
I fully recognize that alterations is a weird thing people don't think about or budget for or might not even have the money for; with that, I am open to trades or a sliding scale to fit your needs and budget. Great fitting clothes, repairs, or upcycles should be within everyone's grasp!
Standard Pricing:
Alterations & Repairs: $25/Hour - 2 Hour minimum
Comissions: Priced by the piece - Starting at $29
